Law of Azerbaijan Republic "About the environmental protection",

The law consists of 14 chapters and 82 articles. The basic purpose of the law is in maintenance of ecological safety in the field of preservation of ecological balance of the environment, to interfere with harmful influence economic and other activities on natural ecological systems, preservation of the biological diversity and organization of rational use of natural resources.
The law defines legal, economic and social bases of the environmental protection, adjusts interrelation between the society and nature with the purpose of improvement of the environment, productive use and restoration of natural resources, strenghtening of legality and legal order in the field of the environmental protection.
In the first chapter of the law concepts and terms, connected with ecology and environmental protection are given, basic principles of the environmental protection are stated.
The second chapter of the law covers the rights and duties of the state, citizens, public associations in the field of the environmental protection, and also power of local municipals.
In thirds to the chapter of the law legal questions of the nature use are reflected.
In the fourth chapter are described regulation of drawing up state code and monitoring of the environment, natural resources and them standardization and certification.
In the fifth chapter questions of economic regulation in the field of the environmental protection are considered.
In 7-th chapters questions of ordering of ecological balance of an environment are described. The eighth chapter is devoted to definition of the ecological requirements to managing and other spheres of activity
. In the ninth chapter of the law questions of education, scientific researches, formation, statistics and informing in field of ecology and environmental protection are reflected.

The thirteenth chapter the responsibility for infringement of the legislation about environmental protection, resolution of disputes in this area,

Concerning ecological examination in 52 articles of the law definition of validity of quality of stipulated measures on the environmental protection is told, that by duties of ecological examination is-estimation of conformity planned of the facilities and other kinds of activity to the requirements of the legislation about environmental protection, sanitary-hygenic norms and rules,.
In 72 articles is shown, that the legal and physical persons, drawing damage to an environment, public health , property of organizations, citizens or states in result of infringement of the legislation about environmental protection, owe agrees of the law compensate this damage. Indemnification of damage comes true on the basis of the decision of court.
