Law of Azerbaijan Republic " About the public health ",

This law contents 10 chapters and 62 articles. The law on the legal basis adjusts the relations, arising between the citizens and state bodies in the field of protection of public health . Protection of public health - complex of measures political, economic, legal, scientific, medical, sanitary-hygienic character, directed on the protection of physical and spiritual health of each person, increase of duration of his active life, supplying his by medical service. The legislation certain the basic principles of protection of public health (article 1), state and non-governmental health system (article 4-5), protection of the rights of the citizens, foreigners and persons, not have of citizenship in the field of protection of public health (art 10), and also rights of family (art 16), pregnant women and mothers (art 17), persons up to age 18, (art 18), military men (art 19), pensioners (art 20) in area of health are stated.
In article 22 of the law the rights of the citizens in area of health, injures in extreme situations, and also living on territories with adverse ecological conditions are specified.
In this law such questions as planning family and regulation of reproductive functions of the person (29-31 articles), warranting of the medico-social help to the citizens (32-41 art), rights and social protection of the workers of medical examination (42-45 art), medicine and pharmacistity (46-56 art) are determined on the legal basis.
The ninth chapter (art 57-60) laws is devoted to questions of the responsibility for harmful impact to the health of the citizens. In 57 articles of this chapter is outlined, that damage, made to health of the citizens in result of environment pollution according to the legislation compensates on the part of the legal and physical persons, putting this damage.
